If you thought opening paragraphs were amazing, wait till you begin writing blog posts with leads! They’ll blow your mind. They draw your readers into an article.

Once you’ve got them reading with some nice punchy bold text that grabs their attention, they’re like puddy in your hands. They’ll click all your links and read all your comments and probably think y ou have the best site they’ve ever been on.

Subheadings are the best!

Don’t even get me started on subheadings. Seriously! If you thought rambling on endlessly for mutliple paragraphs was amazing, you should try subdividing them with beautifully tailored subheadings that make your long-form copy painlessly skimmable. There are SO many articles I’ve never read, but the ones I remember a lot of the details from were the ones with lots of subheadings.

Oh, and if you thought people pay attention to subheadings, just wait till you try leveraging some sweet pull quotes!

Pull quotes are almost irrisistable to the non-reader and reader alike. They’re a little bit like those inflatable wavy armed things you see on the side of the road in strip malls in the United States (aka Intergalactic Proton Powered Electrical Tentacled Advertising Droids). You’ve seen them before, but every time you do, you can’t look away. They’re magical.
